Transport Planner Inland Shipping

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the chartering and operational planning of a network of approx. 60 inland tankers carrying liquid chemicals.

• Creating and coordinating the schedule and communicating it to captains, terminals and international clients;
• Optimal planning and deployment of the fleet, with the associated commercial and administrative activities;
• Monitoring customer satisfaction and profitability;
• Assessing and processing customer requests;
• Acquisition, costing and quoting for new cargoes and contracts;
• Supporting the head of department and management in working out projects

• Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably a completed degree in logistics;
• At least three years' experience as a planner in logistics, preferably in inland shipping and/or the transport of liquid chemicals;
• Knowledge of freight transport in shipping (tanker shipping or dry cargo);
• Flexible, resilient under pressure and involved in the day-to-day operation outside office hours as well;
• Command of Dutch, German and English.
• French is a plus;
• Living within, and/or willing to move to, a reasonable commuting distance of Druten.
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office, Excel in particular
